Welcome!
We are RFH Crew, an independent crew club comprised exclusively of high school students who attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School in Rumson, NJ. The club is organized and managed by the Rumson Fair Haven Rowing Foundation Inc. (the "Foundation'), formerly the booster organization for the team when it was a high school sport. Due to issues beyond the control of the high school or the Foundation, crew was not offered as a high school varsity sport for the Spring 2011 season.
In an effort to keep the team together and offer an option for the high school crew athletes from Rumson and Fair Haven who wanted to continue to row with a competitive crew team, the Foundation launched this independent crew club in the Spring of 2011 for these students. In this first season, RFH Crew had close to 50 athletes sign up. The team had great success with the Girls' Varsity 4+ qualifying for Nationals. While the Fall season typically has fewer athletes participating than the Spring because many athletes like to do a different Fall sport, we still have over 40 athletes signed up for the Fall 2011 season. And we are expecting another great season of rowing.
RFH Crew also has a growing inventory of equipment (shells, a trailer, oars, cox boxes, etc.), a great launch venue (special thanks to the Cerruti Family of Fair Haven Yacht Works) and a terrific coaching staff. And we just purchased our first 8+ shell and a coaches' launch!
